Blue Bottle Coffee

This is the coffee cafe in Williamsburg.
Blue Bottle Coffee
http://www.bluebottlecoffee.net/
Both outside and inside are very simple but I really liked this place.
And I could get good idea for the pastries. Because they had some baked goods there but all of them were in small muffin layers. I think I can make buckle like that then easy to bring to someone and also I don't need to eat a lot... :)
Then main thing in there is COFFEE!! And they had many things from Japan... really interesting.
And they serve KYOTO coffee which is brewed with Japanese tool? I should've asked them why this name!!! But really it was like all of coffee tools were imported from Japan... even pot of Noda horo Tsukiusagi-jirushi!! http://www.nodahoro.com/

It was amazing time with good coffee and fun talk with Chisato-san:)
Thank you for taking me there!!!

This is Tsukiusagi-jirushi!!!

Gay pride in NY 2011

Last Saturday was the day of Gay pride in NY.
Just two days before New York senate approved the same sex marriage.
So this was my first time to see this parade but I guess it was the happiest parade in NY.
I went to around West 4th st station after work so it was almost done but still there were so many people and everyone was dancing and looked so happy. I was there only 30 min or so but still I could enjoy.

The most expensive ramen in my life!!!

I tried Ramen noodle in my neighborhood for the first time at Zuzu.
http://www.zuzuramen.com/
It was the most expensive ramen in my life but it was like this... :)

This seaweed salad was really good!! And for crouton they used Japanese snack "Happyturn"... lol

And this ramen was $14 but the chashu(pork) was amazing!!! And broth was good too!!
But unfortunately I didn't like the noodle itself because the texture was like rubber...:( But worth trying!! Let me know what you think of this ramen!!!

Ayza wine and chocolate bar

One of my friend took me to Ayza the other day.
http://www.ayzanyc.com/
I'd heard about this place before but this was the first time to go there.
The atmosphere was nice in the night and there were so many girls there.
Also good thing is they have chocolates from Jacques Torres chocolate.
http://www.mrchocolate.com/
So you can have them for desserts with wine:)

Balloon cake!!

This is what I made with chef last weekend!!!

Cupcakeland

What do you imagine when you hear "Cupcakeland"?
Is it Dream land??
I went to bakery in Williamsburg which called "Cupcakeland" the other day.
It was not what I imagined but it was really small but cute shop.
And their owners were not Japanese but they had Maccha (green tea) cupcakes with honey frosting.
Of course I tried that flavor but to be honest with you "for me" green tea flavor wasn't enough...
But still it was fun to see this land:)

Pink, Pink, Pink!!

This is green tea cupcake

This is red velvet.
